At Taco Cat Rescue Luton, our hearts are dedicated to giving every cat the chance of a safe, happy, and loving life. Our mission is simple but deeply personal — to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome cats in need, offering them the care, comfort, and compassion they deserve.
We are a small, non-profit organisation, founded in 2022 and named in memory of Taco, a brave little tabby who changed our lives forever. Taco was brought from a backyard breeder and sold far too young. He fought with all the strength his tiny body could give, but despite the love, care, and tireless efforts of his owner and the vets, Taco was simply too poorly for this world.
Though his time was short, Taco’s spirit lives on in every cat we help. His story is a constant reminder of why we do what we do — to give other cats the second chance he never had, and to speak out against the heartbreak caused by irresponsible breeding.
Every rescue, every recovery, and every happy ending is part of Taco’s legacy — a legacy built on love, hope, and the belief that every cat deserves the chance to thrive.
At Taco Cat Rescue Luton, our mission is simple yet deeply meaningful:
To rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome cats in need — giving every one of them the love, safety, and second chance they deserve.
Every cat’s story matters to us. Guided by compassion and inspired by Taco’s legacy, we are committed to creating a future where every cat is safe, cared for, and loved.

CAT Microchipping Service – £20
We offer professional microchipping carried out by a fully trained and certified implanter in the comfort of your own home. This service helps to minimise stress and anxiety for your cat by allowing the procedure to take place in a calm, familiar environment — all for just £20 per cat.
From 10 June 2024, it is a legal requirement in the UK for all cats over 20 weeks of age to be microchipped, and for owners to ensure their contact details are kept up to date on a DEFRA-compliant database.
Failure to comply may result in a fine of up to £500.
Using a specialised, pre-loaded sterile syringe, our trained implanter will insert the microchip just beneath the skin (into the subcutaneous tissue). The needle used is slightly larger than that of a standard vaccination syringe. The procedure is quick, safe, and minimally invasive, with most cats experiencing only momentary discomfort.
Once implanted, the microchip provides a permanent and secure form of identification, giving you peace of mind and increasing the likelihood of a safe return should your cat ever go missing.
Send us a message to book your cat in.

We love to meet people, let people come and sit with the cats if there ever felling down, more hands on the cat/kittens helps them to socialise as well
